User Conference Wrap-up:
We were excited and encouraged by the interaction between companies represented at our user conference. Each is in a different place in their respective journeys - some just beginning their ascent, and some in sight of the top. Regardless of their experience levels, all had a lot to offer. We spent a lot of time listening and are now actively building the suggestions generated during the sessions into both our product, and our processes. Of particular note was the number of suggestions we received on how to improve the Exception Signaling to make the messages more meaningful and easily filtered. Also high on the list were ideas on new ways to combine and manage forecasts, especially as POS data becomes more available, and more vital to accurately forecasting customer's needs. As always, we will be rolling out these improvements as part of our normal release schedule, and we are excited about the new additions to RockySoft.
We held many sessions, some of which ignited so much discussion we had to change our itinerary in order to accomodate the conversations of our audience.
"Directions in Distribution" profiled the changes we have seen in the demands of the distribution industry, what we can expect to see in the future, and how this affects us and our clients. We learned what we can do to enable our clients to turn these challenges into opportunities.
"Version 8.2 Overview"
was led by Jake Latham. We learned what new tools are available in the newest release, and we gathered suggestions on how we can use future versions to fill our clients' needs.
"Product Road Map",
led by Larry Watson, showed us the road RockySoft's products have taken, a timeline of when they were each developed, and what we can expect in the future. Larry also shared with us the method by which we decide which updates will take place and in what order.
We had a great group, with almost 20 companies represented:

Emery

Product Highlight
Supply Base Analyzer (SBA) is a reporting tool that resides in RockySoft's Supply Base Manager module. Our clients are successfully using it to asses their current and future inventory related metrics.
SBA provides a Days Supply Inventory (DSI) report which provides the on-hand balances, usage, dollars and days of inventory out to a six month horizon. Display can be shown by item class, product group, buyer, and any other customized metric all the way down to individual item and location. Further, SBA delivers an Open PO report that provides a quick view of what is open and awaiting arrival organized by vendor, arrival date, shipping date, buyer, or any other metric you wish to see.
Using the same powerful OLAP cube technology found in our S&OP and EM modules, SBA allows you to create nearly limitless views of inventory related information, and with a single click convert it into a chart or graph.
If you'd like to know more about SBA, or see a demo, contact Jeffrey Porter at 970-493-0868 x 105 or by email at
