1. Cross-company inventory insight for distributor of commercial laundry equipment.
When our client in Wisconsin purchased an additional company in California, it was important for their users to have easy visibility to inventory quantities held by each company. The California company was set up as a completely separate database within Microsoft Dynamics GP. SalesPad was then configured to allow users to view inventory availability for all items, across all companies. Using SalesPad, the sales team can now easily look up inventory levels in both locations with a click of the mouse. This makes it easy to accurately answer customer questions in a timely fashion.
2. Seed grass distributor needs special pricing capabilities during order entry
Customers of this company buy seed in one of two ways bulk seed or based upon Pure Live Seed (PLS) factor. The seed company tracks the PLS factor for every bulk seed in Microsoft Dynamics GP Extender. Pricing is calculated off of this PLS factor. Prior to using SalesPad, pricing was calculated manually and entered on each line on the order by hand. Using the PLS factor stored in Extender and a small customization, SalesPad automated the pricing calculation. This not only increases speed of order entry, but improves accuracy as well.
3. Printer supplies and requirement distributor automates the purchasing process
This SalesPad user drop ships approximately 90% of all orders directly to their end customers. Because of this, its critically import for them to be able to efficiently create and communicate purchase orders for almost every sales order they enter. SalesPad supports the creation of purchase orders directly from the sales order. For this client, we configured a solution that allows them to enter the appropriate vendor for each line item directly on the sales order. SalesPad then automatically generates the appropriate purchase orders based on this combination of item and vendor information, then emails all purchase orders directly to the appropriate vendors, completing the purchasing process seamlessly and efficiently.
